- User account setup
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

- The built in Useraccount editor is supplied with several usefull commands.
- When you want to enter the usereditor , you can do it offline or while a
- user is online. To start the usereditor on an offline node, you need to
- open the node screen, Press the EDITUSER icon or function key [F6].

- You will be prompted:
-
- NewUser or Account edit?
-
- You can select "N" for editing newuser accounts or "A" for normal account
- maintance. A return alone will exit the usereditor.
- Selecting "N" will start a newuser account scan. Users with accesslevel
- defined under NEWUSERACCLEVEL otherwise default level 5, will be shown.
- You can modify users account using presets or manually edit the account.
- All functions are accessed through a single letter command. (A - Y).

- * Presets
- ---------
- Pre defined setup files for user accounts, are located in the PRESETS
- directory in your system mainpath directory. the name are PRESET_1 ,where
- 1 is presetnumber, you can define 10 presets.
- Preset 1 to 5 can be used both by sysop and cosysop, but preset 6-10
- are only accessable by sysop.
- Preset example below shows how to define a preset.

- If you want to edit an user account select "A" at the prompt when asked

- A - Forward mail.
- If a user temporary is on vacation or do not want to receive the
- Messages sent to him, you can select another receiver as destination
- for messages addressed to this person.
- You will be prompted for a username or number.

- B - Forward mail to date.
- Enter date user will return to the system, and be able to receive
- his mail.

- C - Edit users name...

- D - Edit USERTYPE type

- E - Edit users Location
-
- F - Edit international phone number code

- G - Change users voice phone number
-
- H - Change users data/fax number
-
- I - Change users celluar/mobile number

- J - Change users password
- This password is used when user is loggin on the system, and prompted
- for it, when user enters a name.

- K - Password 2. Reserved for Future use.

- L - Fido net password. Reserved for future use.

- M - Change users timelimit on the system. value is in minutes.

- N - Change users time used on the system this day.

- O - Chat limit, users chat timelimit when in multichat.

- P - Chat time used today.

- Q - Change users accesslevel

- R - Change users upload bytes to the system.

- S - Change users download bytes to the system.

- T - Change users upload files to the system.

- U - Change users download files to the system.

- V - Change users Ratiotype... where: 0 -> DISABLED , 1 -> BYTES, 2 -> FILES

- W - Change users ratio

- X - Change users download byte limit for a day.

- Y - Change users download bytes today.

- * Other functions in the editor
- -------------------------------

- You can move around in user accounts with "<" and ">"..
-
- If you have different setups for each conference, with u/l & d/l ,ratio etc.
- You can jump to a users other conference with the arrow keys, Left/Right.
-
- To save a modified account press "~"
-
- Press Control-C to edit the quick conference account editor.
-
- Escape exits the editor.
-
- You can view users answer to your "answer.scp", if you have used this.
- Press the "|" letter and the answer will be displayed.

- [DEL] activates / deletes an user account.
-
- [TAB] jumps to next available user account.
-

- * Online Editing of user
- ------------------------
-
- If you edit a user online you can press [F6] or ICON: EDITUSER.
- This user editor is limited to edit only information for current user
- and current conference data. If a user modifies his data while sysop
- is in the editor, Editor will update all fields changed.
-
- [TAB] key is the EXIT button or you can press the closewindow gadget.
-
- NOTE: User will not notice you are editing the account, and he is still
- able to continue using the system.
